The pieces included in this collection have a food-safe glazed interior with no exterior glaze, left raw to the elements and unpredictability of nature. As such, all of the exterior colors, textures, and effects you see on the surfaces are the result of the flames traveling around the piece and the wood ash that collects and melts to create a natural glaze. The placement of the pieces in the kiln has a huge impact on the final results with beautiful variations created by the atmosphere in the kiln, the whirl of wood ash, and twisting flames.
Dishwasher and microwave safe, however hand washing is recommended to prolong the life of your handmade pottery. Please see FAQs for more detailed care instructions. Please avoid soaking for extended periods of time.
